Maailmanpyörä on maahanmuuttajajärjestöjen kehittämishanke, jonka tarkoituksena on tukea maahanmuuttajajärjestöjä. Ray:n tukemaa hanketta toteuttaa Vantaan Järjestörinki ry.

Hankkeen tausta

Maailmanpyörä-hanke syntyi Vantaan Järjestöringin aiemmin toteuttaman Monirinki-hankkeen kokemuksista. Projektin tarkoituksena on  tarjota työkaluja yhdistyksille, jotta heillä olisi tulevaisuudessa tarvittavat valmiudet  hakea rahoitusta eri kanavista ja kirjoittaa selkeitä hankehakemuksia sekä raportoida hankkeet asianmukaisesti.

Tarkoituksena on luoda edellytykset sille, että järjestöt voisivat tulevaisuudessa toimia itsenäisesti ja tarvittaessa verkostoitua muiden järjestöjen kanssa. Yhdistykset voivat myös  jakaa resurssejaan yhteisen tavoitteen saavuttamiseksi.

Hankkeen tavoitteet

•    Edistää maahanmuuttajajärjestöjen itsenäistä toimintaa
•    Vahvistaa eri kulttuurien välistä vuorovaikutusta
•    Kehittää maahanmuuttajajärjestöjen välistä verkostoitumista
•    Auttaa järjestöjä kehittämään itse uusia varainhankinnan menetelmiä
•    Vaikuttaa maahanmuuttajien kotoutumispalveluiden kehittämiseen
•    Välittää tietoa pääkaupunkiseudun muista maahanmuuttajille suunnatuista projekteista

Background of the project

Ferris Wheel has its roots in Vantaan Järjestörinki’s (The Circle of Associations) previous project Monirinki.
The aim of the project is to strengthen the practical methods that have been found useful in Monirinki as well as produce new ways that could assist immigrant associations to adjust to Finnish society. The goal of the project is to create an environment where associations can meet each other in order to build relationships that can lead into future partnership working.

Our project is looking for partners who are dedicated and committed to developing a good basic financial administration so that the associations would be able to run their organisations independently. The aim of the project is that the partners will be able to work together after the Ferris Wheel -project has ended and be able to apply for joint funding, for example.

The project goals

•     Assist immigrants to adjust and integrate into Finnish society
•     Organising different courses such as; financial administration to run their associations more effectively, basic counselling skills, hygiene pass, first aid etc.
•     Create opportunities for fundraising activities
•     Promote their association in different cultural events
•     Networking opportunities with other associations
•     Share information about other immigrant projects which could assist associations, such as employment projects
•     Inform about different funding opportunities
